Efficient cathodic protection of underground metalware from electrochemical (ground) corrosion, including the areas of circulating currents and ground currents in the places of crossing with electrified rail transport and other industrial sources of electric current. Its technical characteristics are similar to cathodic protection stations of V-OPE-M1 series.

- CP stations have IP20 degree of protection (against contact with current-carrying parts and against environmental attacks), and build-in electronic units IP44 (according to the GOST 14254-96).
- CP stations have climatic modification - U, installation category - 2 (built-in) according to the GOST 15150-69 and GOST 15543.1-89.
- CP stations are equipped with circuit breakers in supply mains input which protects the supply mains from overloads and short-circuits.
- The rectifier is adapted to the main teleautomatic systems that are applied at JSC «GASPROM», JSC SC «TRANSOIL», JSC SC «TRANSOILPRODUCT» industries, regional gas-distribution organizations (GDO): «UNK-TM», «Magistral-2», «STN-3000», «SupeRTU4», «SKAT», «ELSI-2000» («ELSI-T»), «TELUR»:

- Electrical and fire safety due to the usage of a circuit breaker at the CP station's input, which automatically disconnects the CP station from the supply mains in case of any breakage;
